The Bangladesh Journal of Cardiovascular Intervention (BJCI) is committed to ensuring transparency, integrity, and objectivity in scholarly publishing. All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any relationships or activities that could influence, or be perceived to influence, the conduct, review, or publication of a manuscript.
A conflict of interest does not necessarily imply misconduct; however, complete disclosure is essential to maintain the credibility of the scientific record and the trust of readers.
All authors must disclose any financial or non-financial interests that could reasonably be perceived to influence the research or its interpretation.
Potential conflicts of interest include, but are not limited to:
Authors must include a Conflict of Interest Statement within the manuscript at the time of submission. If no conflicts exist, the following statement should be included:
The authors declare that they have no conflicts of interest.
Reviewers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.
Reviewers should decline to review a manuscript if they have:
Reviewers must not use unpublished information obtained during peer review for personal or professional advantage.
Editors must disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence their editorial decisions.
Editors should not handle manuscripts if they have:
When a conflict exists, responsibility for the manuscript should be transferred to another qualified editor.
Authors must identify all sources of financial support for the research, including grant numbers where applicable. The role of the funding organization in study design, data collection, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and the decision to publish should be clearly described.
If the funding source had no involvement in the research process, authors should explicitly state this in the manuscript.
The Editorial Office will review all disclosed conflicts of interest during the editorial process. Where necessary, additional information or clarification may be requested before a final editorial decision is made.
Disclosure of a conflict of interest does not automatically preclude publication; however, failure to disclose relevant conflicts may result in rejection of the manuscript, publication of a correction, or retraction of the article if undisclosed conflicts are identified after publication.
BJCI is committed to maintaining transparency throughout the publication process. All disclosed conflicts of interest will be considered during editorial decision-making and, where appropriate, published alongside the article to allow readers to evaluate the work in its proper context.
The Bangladesh Journal of Cardiovascular Intervention (BJCI) expects authors, reviewers, and editors to disclose all relevant conflicts of interest honestly and completely. Adherence to this policy promotes transparency, safeguards the integrity of the peer-review process, and ensures that editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of scientific merit, in accordance with the ethical principles of COPE and the ICMJE Recommendations.
